Gleeson Gleanings
Gleeson Gleanings is the WordPress blog we use to publish library news and updates.
Purpose
The blog functions as a communication, marketing, and outreach tool for Gleeson Library. It is a place to make announcements, share information about services and resources, and promote events. It is a place for library celebration, inspiration, creativity, and reflection.
Visibility
The blog is primarily accessed these ways:
- Library homepage — there is a feature on the homepage that links to the blog
- Social media — select blog posts are linked in Twitter and Instagram posts
- Newsletters — select blog posts are linked as featured content in library newsletters

You must have a USF Blogs account in order to write Gleeson Gleanings blog posts.

Accounts are managed by the Electronic Resources & Systems department.
The account type that is assigned to you depends on your role at the library.
Account Type | Permissions | Account Holders |

Contributor | Can write and edit their own posts but can't publish them | Student workers, interns, etc. |
Author | Can write, upload photos to, edit, and publish their own posts | Most library workers |
Editor | Can access all posts and pages | Select members of the newsletter team |
Admin | Can access all posts and pages, invite people, and modify the site settings | Systems Department |
