About Me
I have a B.A. in English Literature from California State University, Long Beach and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa. I am a first generation college graduate. Originally from Southern California, I moved to the midwest for graduate school spending the majority of my career in Madison, Wisconsin.
Work
As Associate Dean for Access, Instruction, & Research my areas of responsibility include oversight of the Access, Instruction & Outreach, and Research departments.
I have served as University Librarian at Holy Names University and Library Director at Edgewood College before joining USF in 2023. I began my early career as a library page and have worked in all areas of libraries. As Associate Director of Library Operations at the University of Wisconsin, Madison I led and managed the design and construction of the Ebling Library and subsequent merger of three health science libraries into this new building.
Interests
My professional interests include space and facilities planning, discovering workflow efficiencies, and reorganization management.
My personal interests include reading (crime and vampire genre), exploring local venues (day-cations), yoga, quilting, and discovering local cuisine. I am an avid swimmer having completed several two-mile open water swim events (in Wisconsin) and hope to one day participate in the “Escape from Alcatraz” open water swim event.
