  • Permission level — Link lists can be used by Regular and Admin users

Content Guidelines

  • Brevity — Keep list content brief and focused
  • Clarity — Headings and supporting text should be descriptive and meaningful

Best Practices

  • Placement — Placement depends on the type of link list being used
    • Box Link Lists — Use in the side navigation only
    • Icon Link Lists — Use in the main content area only
  • Responsive layout — Icon link lists sit horizontally on large screens and stack vertically on small screens

Accessibility

  1. Labeled elements — Link lists use semantic HTML (e.g. <ul> <li> <a> etc.) to ensure they are accessible to assistive technologies
    • Action required: Manually adjust your HTML heading levels when using link lists; do not skip heading levels
  2. Keyboard navigation — Link lists are navigable by keyboards and have clearly defined focus indicators
