FAQ Style Guide

FAQ entries should:

  • Be clear and concise
  • Be written in plain language; avoid jargon
  • Be accurate and current
  • Model accessibility standards by using headings and lists to improve readability
  • Link to authoritative information (i.e. library web pages) if applicable
  • Include files, links, or media if applicable
  • Utilize metadata (topics, keywords) to improve findability
    • Note: the FAQ Team is working on establishing a list of topics.
