Access & Privileges

We are a private, Catholic Jesuit Institution. The primary role of Gleeson Library is to further the mission of USF by providing services and resources to our students, faculty, and staff.

Students, Faculty, & Staff

Currently registered students, faculty, and staff must use their USF ID card to enter the library building. Student privileges expire at the same time as their current registration, and terminate upon graduation. Faculty and staff privileges terminate upon separation from USF.

Alumni & Visitors

USF alumni and visitors may purchase a Special Library Card with library building access and/or borrowing privileges. See the Alumni and Visitors page for details.

Short-term access to the library building is available to those seeking to use Federal Depository documents, requesting access to the Thacher Gallery, or visiting with pre-authorization from a library department (Access Services, Reference, Special Collections & University Archives, Office of the Dean, etc.).
