Cochrane Library Overview
The Cochrane Library consists of multiple individual resources
- Cochrane Database of Systematic ReviewsCochrane Reviews are systematic reviews of primary research in human health care and health policy, and are internationally recognized as the highest standard in evidence-based health care resources.
- Cochrane Clinical AnswersProvides a readable, digestible, clinically focused entry point to rigorous research from Cochrane systematic reviews. Each Cochrane Clinical Answer contains a clinical question, a short answer, and an opportunity to ‘drill down’ to the evidence from relevant Cochrane reviews.
As well as:
Cochrane Controlled Trials Register (CENTRAL) is a bibliography of controlled trials (primary research) identified by contributors to the Cochrane Collaboration and others, as part of an international effort to create an unbiased source of data for systematic reviews. This database does not contain full text articles.
The Cochrane Methodology Register (CMR) is a bibliography of publications which report on methods used in the conduct of controlled trials. It includes journal articles, books and conference proceedings; these articles are taken from the MEDLINE database and from hand searches.
