About Me
Originally from Wisconsin, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a BA in International Relations. After graduation, I spent a year working in the UK and Ireland through the Work Abroad program. While in the UK, I worked at the library of Shearson, Lehman, Hutton, a financial services firm. When I returned to the US, I went directly to Washington, D.C. While there, I worked in law libraries and eventually found a position at the library of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and worked there for 7 years. My main responsibilities at USAID were reference and acquisitions. After that, I worked at the Peace Corps. The library was very small so my responsibilities involved almost all aspects of running the library.
Work
I started working at Gleeson Library in 2011 and currently work in the Metadata & Collection Management Department.
Interests
My "go to" choice for books are science fiction and crime fiction with some horror just to mix it up. Also an avid gardener, I spend many hours trying to coax herbs and vegetables to grow in the foggy and cool coastal climate.
