About Me

I am a Black-Latinx lefty born and raised in Southern California's San Gabriel Valley. I received my B.A. in Political Science with a Global Politics focus from California State University at Long Beach and an M.A. in Asia Pacific Studies from the University of San Francisco.

Work

As Library Assistant for the Instruction and Outreach Departments, I serve directly under the Head of Instruction & Outreach and act as administrative and technical support for Gleeson's instructors, staff, and student employees. Some of my duties include managing Gleeson's GL139 Electronic Classroom, coordinating instruction sessions alongside our reference librarians and their liaison areas, and co-managing the Outreach Department's exemplary Student Assistants.

Interests

While away from the desk, I can be found on city walks, usually exploring bookstores, coffeeshops, and the countless foodie spots in the Bay Area. My personal interests include rare book hunting, cycling, mixology, pizza baking, and spoiling my dog Valentine. My academic/research interests include dissecting the nature of nationalism and national identity, the possibilities of a post-state sovereignty society, and Marxist-feminist critiques of pop cultural artifacts.
