I have a BA in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Scandinavian Studies from UCLA, attended International Summer School at the University of Oslo where I studied Scandinavian Culture and Politics, and acquired my Masters of Library & Information Science (MLIS) from Syracuse University.
I have a broad professional history from business management to field research which includes the MICUNAY (Motivational Interviewing and Culture for Urban Native American Youth) project, working at The Hammer Museum and at the creative writing nonprofit, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). I have a deep love of learning and teaching through empowerment.
As the Outreach Librarian, I am actively seeking partnerships for library programming which elevate student voices.
I love plants, science fiction, fantasy, graphic novels, and am a bit of a Nordiphile, enjoying Scandinavian film and television.
