Fusion and EBSCOhost Databases Updates

New Interfaces

We're excited to announce that Gleeson Library has introduced new and improved user interfaces (UIs) for Fusion and all EBSCOhost databases.

Check out the new Fusion interface! Because EBSCO is continuously adding new functionality, you may notice new features as you continue to use the new interface.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Transition to New Interfaces — Fusion and all other EBSCOhost databases transitioned to the new interfaces on June 16, 2025.
  • Classic Interfaces Retired — The classic versions of Fusion and EBSCOhost databases are no longer available.
  • Access Unchanged — Continue using your myUSF credentials to sign in as usual.
  • Permalinks Still Work — Existing permalinks, including those in Canvas, remain active in the new interfaces.
  • Saved Content — Most content saved in your EBSCO My Folder in the Classic interfaces automatically transferred to your dashboard in the new interfaces. Certain content, however, such as search and journal alerts, persistent search links, and items in custom or shared folders, did not transfer.:
    • Export Saved Content — Users who did not migrate or save this content prior to the June 16th migration can download a report listing these items in the new interfaces. This download option will be available until December 31, 2025.
    • Recreate Saved Content — Once the report has been downloaded, you will need to recreate this saved content in your Projects folder. The report may also include search alerts and/or journal alerts that will need to be recreated.
