Check Your Folders for Saved Content
View the contents in your My Folder, My Custom, Shared By folders to see if you have any items that must be manually re-created or migrated:
- Access Fusion or another EBSCOhost database, such as Academic Search Complete, on the classic interface.
- Sign in with your myUSF credentials.
- Once signed in, click Folder on the black navigation bar in the top right to view any saved items in your folder.
- View the contents of your My Folder on the left. Content that must be manually re-created or migrated include: Search Alerts and Journal Alerts and My Custom and Shared By Items.
Re-Create Your Search Alerts and Journal Alerts
Search Alerts and Journal Alerts will not be migrated to the new interface and must be re-created. If you require access to these alerts in the new interfaces, please refer to the section below to learn how to recreate your alerts to ensure they are synced to the new interface.
Search alerts will not be migrated to the new EBSCOhost user interfaces. Search alerts can be managed in the following way:
- Re-create your search alerts in the new EBSCOhost user interface. After you create search alerts on the new user interface, we recommend you delete your alerts in the classic interface to avoid duplication.
- Alternatively, you can save your search alert as a saved search to your My Folder in the classic interface which will automatically sync with the new interface. In the new interface, run the saved search and create an alert. To use this method, see Saving your search alert as a saved search (4:57) or these step by step instructions. Disregard the sign-in instructions via MyEBSCO.
Journal/publication alerts will not be migrated. These will need to be re-created on the new user interface. After you create journal alerts on the new user interface, we recommend you delete your alerts in the classic interface to avoid duplication. To learn more, please see Creating Journal Alerts (2:10) or these step by step instructions.
Migrate Your Custom and Shared Folders Content
Saved items (articles, ebooks, images, and videos) and saved searches in custom folders or in folders shared with you will not be migrated. If you require access to items and searches in the new interfaces, please refer to the section below to learn how to move your saved items and searches in the classic interface to ensure they are synced to the new interface.
In April 2025, EBSCO will provide a way to retrieve custom folder content and re-create in the new interfaces. A link will be made available in the new interface to download the content of your custom folders to CSV.
Although saved items in custom and shared folders will not be migrated, items in your general My Folder will be. To ensure saved items you want to access in the new interfaces are synced, you can move items from custom and shared folders to your general My Folder on classic EBSCOhost before June 16, 2025.
Moving items can be done in two ways:
