New Interfaces
We're excited to announce that Gleeson Library will introduce new and improved user interfaces (UIs) for Fusion and all EBSCOhost databases on June 16, 2025.
If you’d like to see the changes before the switchover, check out the new Fusion interface! Because EBSCO is continuously adding new functionality, you may notice new features as you continue to use the new interface.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Transition to New Interfaces — Fusion and all other EBSCOhost databases will transition to the new interfaces on June 16, 2025.
- Access to Classic Interfaces Ends — After June 16, access to Fusion and all other EBSCOhost databases in the current, classic interface will no longer be available.
- Permalinks Remain Active — Permalinks created in the classic interface, including links embedded in Canvas, will continue to work in the new interfaces. Likewise, any permalinks generated in the new interfaces will continue to work after the migration on June 16.
- Access Remains the Same — You will still sign in to Fusion and EBSCOhost databases using your MyUSF credentials. The way you access the databases will not change.
- Saved Items and Migration — If you saved items to your folders in the classic interface, some items will automatically migrate to your dashboard in the new interfaces. However, certain content, such as search and journal alerts, persistent search links, and items in custom or shared folders, will not transfer over. If applicable, be sure to perform the following tasks before June 16:
- Automatic Switchover — The transition to the new interfaces will happen automatically. We do not anticipate any interruptions in access to Fusion or EBSCOhost databases before, during, or after the switch.

While the features of the new Fusion interface are different than those in the classic EBSCO interfaces (EBSCOhost, EBSCO Discovery Service, etc.) some items saved when logged into your personal account can be accessed in both My Folder and My Dashboard. These items include:
