I am a farmer's granddaughter originally from Wisconsin, who now calls the Bay Area home. I have a BA in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Scandinavian Studies from UCLA, attended International Summer School at the University of Oslo and acquired my MLIS from Syracuse University.
I have a broad professional history from managing cafes and doing work study at The Hammer Museum to being Community Programs Manager at National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) where I was able to marry my creative talents to my organizational passions. I believe collective human intelligence can solve any problem and that relationships are everything.
I am an avid gardener and a big fan of Scandinavian television and films, love fine arts and am passionate about social/cultural issues and lifelong learning.
