Books and Ebooks 书
Gleeson has lots of books and ebooks that you can use for your research. You can use Fusion to search for books, but you can also go directly to Ignacio, the library’s book database, to search for books, too.
In Ignacio:

To search ebooks only, click "search online holdings only."

Use our Home Ship service to request print books from Gleeson. Please allow for shipping times.
Use Interlibrary Loan to request books that are not available at Gleeson. Please allow for shipping times (at least 1-2 weeks).

Search by Title/Author in Ignacio to find specific books or books BY specific people.

For example, search by TITLE for Love in a Fallen City to find that book. Search by AUTHOR for Chang, Eileen to find books written BY Zhang Ailing/Eileen Chang in Gleeson Library.

Search by Keyword/Subject to find books ABOUT certain topics.

For example, search by keywords Chinese poetry AND nature to find books about those topics.

You don’t have to read the entire book to see if it will be useful to your research. You can search within ebooks to find terms or names, and you can use the index at the back of print books to see if a topic or person is covered.
What if Gleeson doesn't have the book that I'm looking for? Or what if I'd like to expand my search to other libraries?
Try WorldCat or the Internet Archive. Searching WorldCat expands your search to libraries anywhere in the world. If a nearby library has what you are looking for in their collection, you can find out where it is and what format it is in through a search. The Internet Archive is a free, open source repository of a wide variety of media types and may have what you are looking for available electronically.
